Non-Deletion
Nothing is deleted from the Vault. Items are versioned, archived, or destroyed only through controlled retention workflows.

That rule protects firms against record loss, discovery failures, and allegations of spoliation while giving a complete edit history for every document.

What this page covers

  • Editing creates a new version instead of overwriting the prior record.
  • Version history stores author, date, reason, matter linkage, and SHA256 integrity data.
  • Destruction is handled only through the retention engine with approval and certificate generation.

What firms gain

  • The full documentary history remains available for review and audit.
  • Corrections can be made without compromising the original record.
  • The firm maintains a defensible lifecycle from creation to lawful destruction.
